If you are interested in taking classes through the School for Adult Learning (SAL), please take care of these items:
- Complete an Application for
Admission.
You may obtain the application form by calling 317-788-3393, or
e-mail us a request for an application at sal@uindy.edu
(the application will be mailed to you, not e-mailed). An Adobe
PDF version of the Application for Admission is also available below—just
click the link to download the form. Simply print it to your printer,
complete the form, and mail it in or bring it by our office. Do
NOT complete the online application
on the Office of Admissions' Home Page--it is for full-time Day
Division students ONLY.
- Complete a Provisional Permit
to Register.
This form allows you to go ahead and register for classes while
we are waiting for your official transcripts to arrive and while
we are waiting for your admissions file to be completed. We will
send you a Provisional Permit to Register form when you request
an Application for Admission. You may only register for classes
ONCE using the Provisional Permit. After that, you will not be allowed
to register again until all your transcripts have arrived and the
Office of Admissions has formally offered you admission to the university.
- Request Official Transcript(s).
We need official transcripts from your high school and any colleges
you may have attended. If you have a GED certificate, we also need
official copies of your GED diploma and your GED test scores. Have
each school send the transcripts directly to the School for Adult
Learning. Download the Transcript Request Form below.
- Enclose the Application Fee.
There is a $20.00 nonrefundable application fee.
Once your admissions file is complete and you have been offered admission
to the university, you may register for classes by contacting the
SAL office in Esch Hall 103. For general assistance and advising,
