Registration for DSST exams (DANTES Subject Standardized Tests) is available only in person during the hours of 11 AM to 7 PM weekdays and 10 AM to 4:30 PM on Fridays. Ask for the Testing Administrator in Esch Hall 103M. There is a $12.00 administrative fee at the time you register for an exam, payable by cash or check only. The $70.00 test fee is payable on the day of the test, before testing begins, by credit card only (American Express, VISA or MasterCard).
All exams are administered and proctored in our testing center in Esch Hall 103. Just come to the front desk and tell the receptionist that you want to take a DANTES exam. This means walk-in testing is available for all DSST exams. You can start any time between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM (Mon-Thu), or 10-2:30 on Friday. Just call before you come to be sure the Testing Administrator is in: 317-788-3393.
All DSST exams are also available in the traditional paper-based test booklet format. Contact our office to order an exam if you don't want to take the exam on computer.
Don't register for an exam at the same time you have a class! For planning purposes, testing blocks are two hours each.
Allow 4-6 weeks for the DSST Program to report your test score to you after the test date (scores are immediate for internet-based exams). The University of Indianapolis will NOT call the DSST Program to obtain your score.

WARNING: Not all CLEP and DSST exams are recognized for credit at the University of Indianapolis. It is your responsibility to determine applicability. What does UIndy accept, and what does it count for? See http://sal.uindy.edu/testlist.php. You must wait six months from the test date to repeat a CLEP or DSST exam.
