Parking Guidelines

Adjunct Faculty Members (green permits): any lot above except reserved and handicapped spaces.
SAL students (yellow permits): any lot above designated for yellow permits or all permit holders.
NOTE to all permit holders: Do not park in the gold-colored visitor lots shown above! You will be ticketed and/or towed by Campus Police. Visitor parking in the gold zones is limited to one hour. Don't park in the grass. Don't park on a yellow curb. Don't park in handicapped or reserved spaces. Don't park on Hanna Avenue. Don't park on the circle in front of Ransburg Auditorium. Each lot has signs that indicate what color permit may park in that lot. Campus Police are aggressive in their enforcement of parking rules. If you get a ticket, it is your own fault.

More Parking

There is a large parking lot (not pictured) to the left of this map (located west of the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center). Go to the first stop light west of Otterbein Avenue, turn right onto Shelby Street, then take an immediate right into the parking lot. This is an open lot for everyone--visitors, permit holders, etc.

There is also a large parking lot (not pictured) to the right of this map (located east of Nicoson Hall and south of the football field). Go to the first stop light east of Otterbein, turn left onto State Street, then take an immediate left into the parking lot. This lot is open to all permit holders and visitors.

There is also a large parking lot (not pictured) below the bottom of this map (located south and east of Good Hall). Go to the stoplight at Hanna and Otterbein, turn south, go to the first intersection (Windermere Street), turn left onto Windermere, then take the first right into this parking lot.

Administrative and Classroom Buildings

Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center. Home to the University's Art and Music departments, the fine arts center is considered a signature architectural landmark of the campus. This building also houses the magnificent 500-seat Ruth Lilly Performance Hall and the Art Gallery.

Esch Hall. The main administrative and classroom building. It houses Business and Finance, Accounting, Admissions, Financial Aid, Printing and Mailing, the Registrar's Office, University Computing Services, the School of Business, School of Education, School for Adult Learning, Center for Leadership and Professional Development, English, Philosophy & Religion, and Theatre. The 800-seat Ransburg Auditorium is on the east end of this building.

Good Hall. The original campus building constructed in 1904. Houses Campus Police, Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, History & Political Science, Modern Languages, Social Sciences, Community Programs Center, School of Psychological Sciences, the B.U.I.L.D. program, Honors College, and the emeriti faculty lounge.

Krannert Memorial Library. Houses the library and University Archives, the Center for Instructional Technology, Media Services, and the Writing Lab. The Sease Wing of Krannert Memorial Library, on the south end of the building, houses administrative offices on the main floor, classroom space on the ground floor, and on the 2nd floor, the Communication department and the studios of WICR-FM, the campus radio station (88.7 FM).

Lilly Science Hall. Houses Biology, Chemistry, Mathematica, Physics & Earth-Space Sciences. Also houses numerous computer, math, and science labs, as well as the geological museum.

Martin Hall. Houses the Krannert School of Physical Therapy, School of Nursing, and the School of Occupational Therapy.

Ruth Lilly Center for Health and Fitness (not depicted on map above). Houses all athletic facilities, including the 3,500 seat gymnasium, Nicoson Hall. Houses Director of Athletics, Health and Physical Education, Athletic Training, Sports Information, and athletic coaches. The Ruth Lilly Center is on the far east side of the campus to the right of East Mall on the map above.

Nicoson Hall (not depicted on map above). Houses the 4,000 seat basketball fieldhouse, one of the finest at an NCAA Division II university in the nation. Nicoson Hall is on the far east side of the campus to the right of the permit parking lot on the map above.

Schwitzer Center. The multipurpose student center houses the Bookstore, Dining Center, Snack Bar, Hubbard & Cravens coffee shop, Chapel, Mailroom, the Vice President for Student Affairs, Indianapolis Student Government, University Advising, the Bridge Program, Career Services and Employer Relations, Co-Curricular Programs, Student Health Services, International Programs, Residence Life, University Chaplain, and Student Advocacy Services.

Richard E. Stierwalt Alumni House (not depicted on map above). Houses Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Advancement Services, Alumni Relations, Annual Giving, Planned Giving, Publications, and University Relations. Stierwalt House is south of Good Hall on the other side of Windermere Avenue.

Residence Halls

Central Hall. A co-ed residence hall located on the north side of campus.

Cravens Hall. An all-female residence hall located on the south side of Hanna Avenue.

New Hall. A co-ed residence Hall located on the north side of campus.

Cory Bretz Hall. A co-ed residence hall located on the north side of campus.

Warren Hall (not depicted on map above). A co-ed residence hall located on the southeast corner of campus on the south side of Hanna Avenue.
