Mary had dropped out of school for medical reasons. When she returned in 2005, she was determined to complete her degree. In the past three years, Mary has fought cancer but refused to give up on her dream to complete college. In December 2007 she achieved her goal of graduating from college, and received her baccalaureate degree through the School for Adult Learning. Mary works at Eli Lilly & Company and has used class projects in her work.
"It's like an extended family in SAL, and I think anyone pursuing a degree here should know that. You have faculty and staff who really care about you."
