School for Adult Learning
Supervisory Institute for Supervisors and Managers

For some individuals supervision is a natural. Others, to be high performance supervisors, need a blueprint. This seminar is a comprehensive, three-day knowledge- and skill-building workshop for those wanting to improve their leadership skills and management abilities. The seminar is offered through the Institute for Leadership and Professional Development (ILPD), a division of the School for Adult Learning. Over the past 45 years of serving the training and development needs of the greater Indianapolis community, this seminar has provided front-line leaders with the skills they need to do their jobs more effectively and with greater confidence. The goal of the seminar is to help participants enhance their ability to do their best work.

Jack Needham leads the Coaching Clinic at UIndy.Graduates of the seminar have come from Allison Transmission, Indianapolis Water Company, Citizens Gas & Coke Utility, Indianapolis Public Schools, Biddle Companies, Commercial Warehouse & Cartage, Farm Bureau Insurance, Indianapolis Power & Light Company, and hundreds of others.
