Tuition and Fees

Accelerated Programs Division (APD)
2008-09 Academic Year

The 2008-09 tuition is $300.00 per credit hour.
Payment arrangements must be made prior to the beginning of each session.

If you take just one Day Division course and are also enrolled in a total of 12 hours or more in one 15-week term (even if you are an Accelerated Programs Division student), you will be charged full-time Day Division tuition of $10,160.00 for each term during the 2008-09 academic year.

NOTE: Prior to 2007-08, new students had a five-year guarantee that tuition would not increase. That policy ended at the beginning of the 2007-08 academic year. Students who enrolled for the first time prior to 2007-08 had the option of keeping their five year guarantee or switching to the 2007-08 tuition rate. Hence, some currently-enrolled students are still subject to the old tuition rates. See the following chart:

First enrollment in 2004/05 = $308.00 per credit hour good until the end of the 2008-2009 academic year.
First enrollment in 2005/06 = $308.00 per credit hour good until the end of the 2009-2010 academic year.
First enrollment in 2006/07 = $320.00 per credit hour good until the end of the 2010-2011 academic year.
First enrollment in 2007/08 = $300.00 per credit hour; may change annually.

Extended Programs Division (EPD)
2008-09 Academic Year

Part-Time Enrollment (1-11 credit hours): $275.00 per credit hour.
Full-Time Enrollment (12-17 credit hours): $10,160.00 per semester.
Audit Enrollment (non-credit): $138.00 per credit hour.

The balance of the student's account must be paid within four weeks. A fee is assessed for this service that ranges from $10-90. Late fees will be assessed on a monthly basis if the balance of the account is not paid by the due date. The student must complete a University Deferment Form to participate. Contact the Accounting Office for assistance in completing this form.

UIndy Employer Deferment Plan

A special privilege is offered to students whose employers will reimburse student educational costs. For a small nonrefundable fee, the UIndy Employer Deferment Plan allows students to defer payment of tuition and fees up to two weeks after a class ends. Only students enrolled in Extended, Accelerated, and some Graduate classes are eligible to apply for this payment plan. The instructions and application for this program are available online or in the Accounting Office upon request.
